Gareth Hutch murder suspect Thomas ‘Nicky’ McConnell arrested at beach in Turkey as part of operation involving Interpol
HUTCH hit suspect Thomas ‘Nicky’ McConnell had been living alone in a Turkish beach house and was stunned when cops moved on him in an op involving Interpol.
McConnell is wanted here over the murder of Gareth Hutch.
He was detained by Turkish officers after being arrested near Ladies Beach in Kusadasi.
Gardai had sent an international warrant for the suspect through Interpol after he went abroad.
The man, from Ballymun, north Dublin, moved abroad a number of years ago.
Jonathan Keogh, Regina Keogh and Thomas Fox have been jailed for the killing of Gareth Hutch.
However, Turkish police arrested the murder suspect sought by Interpol late last week.
As he faces deportation, the Irish Sun can reveal McConnell has been sent to Soke prison, outside of Kusadasi.
A source told us: “He was arrested by the police officers of Kusadasi district police department in a beach house in Kusadasi.
“The police got a tip. The police searched the suspect’s home and belongings but could not find his passport.
