Am I reading this Correctly? Bail conditions were Altered in Relation to Rooney and Dawson, because the Gangland boys had their Xmas Foreign Holidays, Booked? Somebody is taking the Piss here? What type of Judge would give high profile and alleged dangerous criminals, in the middle of a bloody FEUD in Drogheda, the Freedom to go on their Foreign Holidays, probably using “Illegal Drug Money” – they may never return from the Cost Del Crime. One thing is certain: These Judges are giving, in my opinion, a clear message to the people of Drogheda that the Criminals have the balance of power. The Social Interests of Gangland now appears to be Priority over the people of Drogheda. Life on Mars – this is what our Judiciary, in the absence of proper judgment, are providing. Also it lowers the self-esteem of the Gardai who are trying to stop this FEUD.

Two men and a woman have been sent forward to the Special Criminal Court for trial after more than €550,000 in cash was seized following searches of cars in Drogheda and properties in the north-east.

Jason Reed (39) and Thomas Rooney (41) and his partner Catherine Dawson (44) were arrested on suspicion of enhancing the ability of an organised crime gang to commit a serious offence last May 11.

All three are charged with money laundering and possessing the proceeds of crime at a car park on Donore Road, Drogheda.

It is alleged they were in possession of €289,770 in euro and £62,025 (€70,207) in cash in a blue Nike bag.

Dawson and Rooney, of Betaghstown Wood, Bettystown, Co Meath, are also charged with being in possession of the proceeds of criminal conduct, having €245,840 in cash in a bag on the same date.

Reed, of Maelduin, Dunshaughlin, Co Meath, is charged with money laundering at his home address after €32,330 and £390 (€441) were allegedly found there.

The three appeared before Judge Eirinn McKiernan at Drogheda District Court on Friday, when they were served with books of evidence before being sent forward on indictment to a sitting of the three-judge non-jury Special Criminal Court.

Judge McKiernan told all three they have 14 days to notify the State if they intend to use an alibi in their defence.

A member of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) told the court the DPP consented to the three being sent forward on indictment to the Special Criminal Court.

He said the DPP has certified the non-schedule offences are appropriate to that court.

Gardaí carrying out investigations into serious crime intercepted a number of vehicles on the Donore Road and North Road areas of Drogheda at around 6pm last May 11.

A number of follow-up searches were carried out and a substantial quantity of cash was found and seized.

All three were remanded on continuing bail subject to strict conditions to appear before a sitting of the Special Criminal Court.

Bail conditions were varied for Rooney and Dawson to allow them to travel for a holiday on dates between December 23 and December 30.

The solicitor for all three accused was assigned one senior counsel and one junior counsel due to the seriousness of the charges

I am sorry , but this is insane .
The first time in my life I have heard of people being allowed to travel abroad whilst on Bail .
Hoping all is well ,
