A minister has resigned. A European Commissioner has followed suit. TDs and senators have been dispatching ‘cut and paste’ apologies demanded by their party leaders. All have lost the party whip for breaches of Covid-19 guidelines.
Two prominent participants (from once proud professions) at the Clifden golf outing remain stubbornly in position: a banker and a judge .
Banker Brian Hayes and Judge Seamus Woulfe are toughing it out. ‘Cut and paste’ apologies are enough for them.
