Massive garda hunt for two men who attacked man and woman during shocking Dublin burglary

Gardai are hunting two men who attacked a man and a woman at a house in Dublin late last night.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses to the shocking incident, which happened in Merton Park at around 11.30pm.
The two assailants entered the home and assaulted those inside before fleeing the scene in a white van.
The victims, a man and a woman, were taken to St James’ Hospital for treatment.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses who were in the surrounding area, known locally as the ‘Tenters’ between 11.15pm and 11.45pm, to come forward.
They are also looking for anyone who may have seen or have dashcam footage of a the van used during the aggravated burglary.
The vehicle was a white Ford Transit Connect van, partial registration 06D, with a roof rack, which may have been in the Dublin 8 area between 10.30pm and midnight.
A spokesman said: “Gardaí in Kevin Street are appealing for witnesses in relation to an incident of aggravated burglary that occurred in Merton Park, Dublin 8, at approximately 11:30pm, 21st November 2020.
“Two armed males entered the house in Merton Park and assaulted the occupants before leaving the scene in a white van. A man and woman were taken to St James’ Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
“Witnesses who may have been in the vicinity of Merton Park, Dublin 8 between 23.15hrs and 23.45 hrs on 21st November 2020 are now being sought.
“Investigating Gardaí would also like to speak to any persons who may have dashcam footage and who were in the area around Merton Park commonly referred to as the “Tenters” and may have seen a small white Ford Transit Connect van, partial registration 06D, with a roof rack in the Dublin 8 area, between 22.30hrs and midnight on 21st of November 2020. “Anyone with information can contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1 800 666 111
