Irelands Hidden Shame at Xmas, our Forgotten Homeless People, and a Government who is plain ignorant to the needs of the most vulnerable in our Society. 59 approximately is what the media reports. This is not acceptable. The number is up this COVID-19 Disaster 2020 year from 35 people.

Friends paid tribute to Mois in the comment section, with one person describing him as a ‘beautiful man with a gentle smile’.

Another said: ‘RIP young man, you have a beautiful bed in heaven now. Rest easy.’ A third said: ‘What a young man with a gentle smile, RIP Michael.’

One person living in private emergency accommodation in the city centre was found dead on December 17, four days before a homeless person was discovered dead in the Frederick St area on December 21.

Writing on social media after the second death, Inner City Helping Homeless CEO and Councillor Anthony Flynn said: ‘Another death of a person in homeless services this morning.
‘That takes the number of deaths in Dublin to 59 that we are aware of ‘This number will continue to rise as long as as we continue to allow unregulated private operators increase bed supply with no training in the city.’
