After Reading the Article below on our Homeless Irish People, one would feel wanting to Vomit. Darragh O Brien is a Bluffer, and a Lick Ass to Lame Duck Martin. This Scandal should not be happening in the year 2021 in the middle of a Dangerous Pandemic. Where are the FF Backbenchers we ask again?

The documentary followed a number of homeless people living in Dublin City Centre.

The show heard of the dangers of sleeping on the street and the hardship and difficulties that they face.a person sitting on a sidewalk: The new RTE Investigates documentary followed a number of homeless people in Dublin City Centre. One young man named Dan, 20, told the show that he moved from Latvia to Kildare when he was 10. When the home they were living in was sold, he was forced to leave school at 15-years-old.

He later became estranged from his mother and moved to Dublin City Centre where he is now sleeping on the streets.

In one scene, he rang the Dublin Region Homeless Executive (DRHE) to try and secure a bed for the evening.a man wearing a hat talking on a cell phone: RTE Investigates showed Dan being turned away by the Dublin Region Homeless Executive because he was from Kildare. However, as the last place he lived was Kildare, he was told they could not help him.

‘To be helped out by us you need to have some local connection to Dublin,’ the operator said.

Another man named Joe also told RTE Investigates about his experience of being homeless. He has been on the street since he left prison in 2011.

When he called the DRHE, the operator on the phone was short with him and, ultimately, hung up on him.

As Joe was originally from Carlow, they said they could not help him.a man looking at the camera: RTE Investigates also showed the Dublin Region Homeless Executive hang up on Joe because he was from Carlow. ‘Wow, I can’t book you anywhere tonight,’ he said.

‘I don’t need to hear the story. You have registered in Carlow so you should interact. Now you’re in Dublin, we can’t do anything for you, unfortunately.’

The operator then hung up on Joe as the homeless man was still speaking.a man looking at the camera: The telephone operator hung up on Joe while he was still talking. RTE posted on their social media that there were 75 beds free on the evening that Joe was refused emergency accommodation.

Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien later appeared on the RTE Investigates show and apologised to the homeless men. We added that there should not be a local barrier.

However, a representative for the DRHE told the show that they were ‘not responsible for providing accommodation for everyone in the country’.
