Both boxers have publicly backed the Dublin crime boss in recent years. World champion Fury previously thanked Kinahan for brokering a fight between himself and Anthony Joshua.

On Monday, Amir Khan said that boxing ‘needs people like Dan‘ as he branded him ‘one of the nicest guys I’ve met’.a person standing on a stage: Boxer Amir Khan issued a statement in support of Daniel Kinahan on Monday. The High Court previously stated the Kinahan is a senior figure in organised crime. The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB), meanwhile, noted that he ‘controlled and managed’ the Kinahan Organised Crime Group.

Dublin City Councillor Nial Ring has now condemned both Amir Khan and Tyson Fury as they invited them to come to Dublin to see the ‘devastation’ caused by Daniel Kinahan and his family.

He told RTE’s Today With Claire Byrne that he was surprised that both men publicly backed the crime boss.a man wearing a suit and tie: Nial Ring said that Daniel Kinahan should come home and prove his innocence. ‘Tyson Fury is from an ethnic Irish background who would know what discrimination [and] would know what deprivation is about,’ Cllr Ring said.

Would Tyson Fury come over to Dublin? I will bring him around the north inner city and I will show him the effect and the devastation of drugs.

We all know, and the High Court in this country has named Daniel Kinahan as a senior figure in organised crime and drug trafficking.a man wearing a hat: Daniel Kinahan was named as a senior figure in organised crime by the high court. ‘I invited Fury over.  The list goes on and on. Frank Warren, the legendary boxing promoter, was praising Kinahan.

‘[On Monday], Amir Kahn came out.  Amir Khan again is surprising because he actually also comes from a background where you would expect him to have a better understanding.

‘He has set up a charity for young kids in Pakistan to learn boxing in deprived areas.  He is a philanthropist and a good guy and yet you see time and time again people coming out, out of ignorance in a lot of cases.a man doing a trick on a stage: Nial Ring said that Tyson Fury and Amir Khan should come to Dublin to see the ‘devastation’ caused by the Kinahans. Come over, we’ll bring you around.  The amount of lives that have been taken because of drugs. We had the feud here over the last number of years.  But the number of lives that have been saved by the work of the Gardai has been extraordinary.

Cllr Ring said that he felt sorry for Paul Mescal getting caught up in controversy after he trained in MTK Gym, which is linked to Kinahan, in Australia.  The Dublin councillor said that there needs to be better understanding about the Kinahans and their prescence around the world.a man wearing a green shirt: Nial Ring said he felt sorry for Paul Mescal as he faced backlash for training in a gym linked to Daniel Kinahan. Daniel Kinahan is currently living in the United Arab Emirates and has continuously denied his links to organised crime in Ireland.

In a statement on Monday, he once again denied the claims and said that he has never been found guilty of any crime.

Cllr Ring said that if Daniel Kinahan is so innocent, he should come home to Ireland and prove it.Frank Warren, Tyson Fury, Andy Lee are posing for a picture: Nial Ring said that he was surprised to see both Tyson Fury and Amir Khan publicly back Daniel Kinahan. He added: ‘If Daniel is as clean as he says, if he is not rebranding or sanitising or laundering his reputation through MTK and the boxing industry, why doesn’t he come back to Ireland?

‘Why doesn’t he face whatever charges are going to be put to him here?  If he is an innocent man, we have judicial systems that 99.99% of times does not put an innocent man in jail.’
