Man killed in shooting in Ballymun in Dublin

A man in his mid 40s has been killed in a shooting in Ballymun in Dublin.
It is believed up to five shots were fired during the attack at Belclare Terrace.
The shooting happened at 9pm and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The scene has been preserved and the Garda Technical Bureau is to carry out an examination.
The Office of the State Pathologist has also been notified.

Gardaí at Ballymun have set up an incident room and are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the Belclare Terrace and Belclare Park areas between 8pm and 9.15pm tonight.
They are also appealing for dash-cam and mobile phone footage of the incident.
