‘I rang 999 and the operator told me not to leave my car or attempt to intervene in case the two of them turned on me.
‘The operator told me to continue to describe what I was seeing, but I was freaking out. I honestly thought I was watching a woman being beaten to death in front of me and I was powerless to do anything about it.
‘I’ve never seen anything like it. The two of them were like wild animals, you could hear the thud of her skull off the pavement. I honestly don’t know how she survived.’
The two men departed the scene, leaving the woman unconscious and bleeding heavily near some bushes. She was rushed to hospital a short time later, where medics fought to save her life.© Provided by Extra.ie Pic: RollingNews.ie
