The exact date is to be announced in the coming weeks, but issues have consistently been raised about the people involved in the organisation of the clash.

Tyson Fury has previously spoken about his appreciation for Daniel Kinahan’s role in organising some of the biggest fights in recent history.

Kinahan‘s involvement in the sport has been heavily criticised for years now and despite insistence from MTK Boxing that he’s no longer directly involved with advising its fighters, a recent BBC documentary reported that he is still involved in the sport.a man jumping in the air: Joshua and Fury are expected fight it out in August of this year following years of speculation about the biggest bout at the top of the heavyweight boxing division. Early on in negotiations for the fight, Kinahan was publicly involved and although there have been suggestions that he stepped back from his role, concerns still remain that he is working behind the scenes.

He has already been the subject of criticism from the likes of Leo Varadkar and former world champion Barry McGuigan.

He told The Star: ‘It is imperative that the Irish Government reiterate to the Saudi authorities their absolute concern about any involvement of known drug lord, Daniel Kinahan, in the organisation of this fight.

‘Daniel Kinahan should not be allowed play any part in international sport be it boxing, MMA or football.

‘It is beholden on every stakeholder to clearly demonstrate that Daniel Kinahan has no involvement be that fighters, promoters, sponsors or broadcasters.’
