Mr Bailey has returned to the news again following the release of two documentaries about the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier in Cork in December, 1996.

The former journalist was the main suspect in the investigation into her death, but he has never been charged in Ireland because of a lack of evidence against him.a close up of Ian Bailey wearing a hat: A woman who claimed to have married the ghost of a pirate has revealed that she has struck up a connection with Ian Bailey. Interviews with Mr Bailey featured heavily in the documentaries, which once again thrust the case into the spotlight.

Director of the Murder at the Cottage documentary produced by Sky, Jim Sheridan, recently admitted that he had ‘sympathy’ for Mr Bailey.

Amid the rush of news about Mr Bailey and the case into Ms Toscan du Plantier’s death, it was revealed that Mr Bailey is now single.a man wearing a hat: Mr Bailey has returned to the news again following the release of two documentaries about the murder of Sophie Toscan du Plantier in Cork in December, 1996. Confirmation came earlier this year that his long-time partner Jules Thomas has split from him, although they are still living on the same property.

Ms Thomas revealed she asked Mr Bailey to move out as her daughters refused to visit her with their children while Bailey was still there.

She said: ‘Whilst Ian was here, I couldn’t see my three daughters and grandchildren. They refused to visit because they didn’t want to meet him.a person posing for the camera: It has now emerged that Ian is in regular contact with Drogheda woman Amanda Large Teague, who also used the stage name Alisa Rose. ‘My daughters were absolutely thrilled when I finished with Ian.’

It has now emerged that Ian is in regular contact with Drogheda woman Amanda Large Teague, who also used the stage name Alisa Rose.

Ms Large Teague, who said in the past that she married the ghost of a Haitian pirate, confirmed that he is talking to Mr Bailey and that she feels a ‘connection’ with him.

She told The Star that they’ve spoken on a ‘deeper level’, while Mr Bailey said that they speak every few days.a woman sitting on a chair: Ms Large Teague, who said in the past that she married the ghost of a Haitian pirate, confirmed thats he is talking to Mr Bailey and that she feels a ‘connection’ with him. He would not be drawn on whether the ‘connection’ is romantic but said he would be ‘flattered’ if Ms Large was interested in him in that way.

Mr Bailey said he would be keeping the situation between them private if it ever were to blossom into a relationship.
