Joshua’s win comes over a year after he found himself in trouble with the law.

In February last year, he was jailed for 15 months with another suspended at Cork Circuit Court for possession of €22,000 cannabis for sale or supply at his mother’s famous Ballymaloe Cookery School. He also failed a drug driving test in August 2020 shortly after his release from prison.

Rachel previously opened up on how ‘tough’ life is for her kids who have to deal with the spotlight of her career.

‘Yeah, it’s been really tough. You know, when I was growing up, no one knew of me.a young boy in a green shirt: The best selling cookbook writer shared a picture of Joshua with a gold medal around his neck after he won his first MMA competition.© Provided by Extra.ie The best selling cookbook writer shared a picture of Joshua with a gold medal around his neck after he won his first MMA competition.

‘And I didn’t do anything like that to break the law, but I was able to grow up privately. And so you know what.. it is hard,’ she said.

‘And it has been really tough actually. And I felt so bad, and I feel so bad.

‘That an element of their lives is public, that you know, that makes it much more commented on than anyone else’s life,’ the chef added.
