Two teenage boys were rushed to hospital with stab wounds after a fight erupted in Ballsbridge.

Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident after multiple reports of a disturbance on Churchill Terrace, near Sandymount Dart Station, just after 8pm.

The pair, in their mid-teens and late teens respectively, were rushed from the scene to separate hospitals for treatment.

Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardai in Irishtown say they are launching an investigation into the brawl.

They said: “On Saturday, 1st January 2021, shortly after 8pm, Gardai attended at the scene of an incident at Churchill Terrace, Dublin 4 following reports of a disturbance.

“Two male youths aged in their mid and late teens were taken from the scene to St Vincent’s and St James Hospitals for treatment to apparent stab wounds.

“Their injures are not believed to be life threatening.

“The scene is currently preserved and enquires are ongoing. Gardai at Irishtown are investigating.”
