Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren denies Daniel Kinahan involvement in Whyte world title fight

Tyson Fury’s UK promoter Frank Warren has said that Daniel Kinahan has ‘no involvement’ in the world title fight between Fury and Dillian Whyte.

Fury has previously sung Kinahan’s praises on social media and has been advised by him in the past.

It has been reported that Fury’s US promoters Top Rank paid Kinahan for consultancy — but Warren has said Fury is ‘unaware’ of any such payment.Frank Warren said Daniel Kinahan has no involvement with the Tyson Fury v Dillian Whte fight. Kinahan was last week hit with sanctions by US officials from the US Treasury Department and a number of other bodies.

The Us Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) also offered up to US$5 million for information leading to the arrest of Kinahan or his father and brother.Daniel Kinahan and Tyson Fury in an Instagram post shared by Irish influencer Niall Ryan. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live’s boxing podcast, Warren said: ‘He has no involvement. Nor did he try to get involved in this fight because it was a purse bid.

‘Queensberry won the purse bids and even if we hadn’t won it, he wouldn’t have been involved.’

Kinahan was a co-founder of the MTK Global agency, which represents a number of boxers, including Fury. Kinahan says he cut ties with the organisation in 2017.

There are no allegations of wrongdoing against any boxers who have worked with Kinahan.

Fury will defend his WBC title against Whyte at Wembley on Saturday.
