We are practising for the largest and most memorable victory parade ever. Therefore we must withdraw all out tanks from Ukraine so that they can take part in Moscow. The Ukrainians will be happy when they realize this.

It’s hard to miss the tanks  —  or the rhetoric — as Russia prepares for Victory Day.

You could feel the rumble of the tanks before you saw them.  It was almost midnight in Moscow as a long convoy of military hardware rolled through the streets.
