FRANCE 24 is joined by Dr. Rasmus Nilsson, Lecturer in Russian Foreign Policy at the University College London (UCL). He describes Russia’s World War III warning as a way “of trying to show that the West should basically stay out of the matter. It seems a bit late to do that now, but the narrative continues,” says Dr. Nilsson. “I certainly don’t think that the Russians would be interested in [World War III]. They have neither the capability nor the interest, short and long-term, to go that way.”
