A man, 40s, has been seriously injured following a shooting in Dublin.
The incident happened on near a hotel on the South Circular Road in Kilmainham around 11.30am this morning. The scene has been sealed off as a major garda investigation is underway.
The man was taken to hospital for his injuries. It is understood that he lost a large amount of blood and is fighting for his life. No arrests have been made at this time.
A garda spokesman said: “An incident room has been established at Kilmainham Garda Station. Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the South Circular Road in the Kilmainham area on the morning of Friday, 24th June, 2022, are asked to make this footage available to Gardai.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Kilmainham Garda Station on 01 666 9700, the Garda Confidential Line on
