A SHOOTING at a North Carolina apartment complex has reportedly left a baby dead and two adults injured.
More than a dozen cops swarmed a Raleigh neighborhood after initial reports of a shooting, according to local media.
Officers responded to the scene on Shanda Drive just after 10.30pm, local CBS affiliate WNCN reported.
Crime scene tape blocked parts of an apartment complex with officers seen lining the road.
“RPD officer confirms that this is a homicide investigation and multiple people were taken to the hospital,” a reporter with ABC affiliate WTVD tweeted.
“Sources tell me, and this is just so sad to tweet, that a toddler was killed in a domestic violence situation.”
The suspected shooter was on the way to the hospital after fighting with police, sources told WNCN.
The apartment complex is roughly eight miles from downtown Raleigh.
Few other details about the shooting were released as of early Wednesday.
What led up to it and the condition of the two adults has yet to be revealed.
