Trump’s 2024 outlook: more vulnerable after Jan 6 hearings

While many Republicans think the Jan. 6 commission is a nothing burger, the hearings have demonstrated how a number of once-loyal supporters of former President Donald Trump have changed their minds about the events of that day.
Trump is still the most popular figure in the Republican Party, and Ian Bremmer is certain we’ll see him announce his candidacy for 2024. But there’s no doubt that Trump is more vulnerable now than he was a few months ago: the hearings have hurt him, and he’s missing the crowds and social influence he once enjoyed. Bremmer wouldn’t bet against Trump at this point, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be an easy election.
