A 72-year-old Bunclody man with no previous convictions was taken away by prison officers to begin a two year sentence imposed for a series of indecent assaults committed more than three decades ago.

Now retired, Timothy Halpin from Ballinapark, Bunclody, worked as a foreman/supervisor at the Slaney Foods meat factory in Clohamon.
