Did you know that Nuremberg courtroom was designed so that the Allies could project movies during the trial? And, also so that they could film the trial? The first movies that were shown were prepared by John Ford – a compilation of material from the liberation of Bergen-Belsen and Dachau. But here comes an interesting part. Did you now they lit (using flourescent tubes) the defendants so the could be filmed watching the films that were shown during the trial.

Economic assistance is a crucial part of U.S. support to Ukraine: $9.9B in add’l direct budget support will pay teachers, emergency workers, & essential staff. New sanctions & other measures will degrade Russia’s ability to wage this war.

The West is trying to weaken Russia with sanctions. Is this strategy even effective?

A year after Kiev cut off water for Donetsk, the Russians built the first segment of a new pipeline from a different source. These have been typical Kiev tactics since 2014 when e.g. they cut off the water supply to Crimea.

A senior manager from a major investment firm told me there will be no investments into rebuilding Ukraine if there is no ironclad security guarantee for Ukraine. Ukraine will have no security so long as Russia occupies Crimea.
