Exclusive: The court was told that the alleged offences of dangerous driving first occurred on the N2 and then through various locations in Meath – ending in Ashbourne.
A serving Garda has been charged with eleven counts of dangerous driving on the same day.
Nicola Houlihan, who is a member of An Garda Siochana, is accused of driving dangerously on the N2 and in Ashbourne on August 11, 2022.
Her case was first heard on Tuesday before a sitting of Trim District Court – however she was not present.
The court heard that Ms Houlihan had handed in a sick cert, explaining her absence, which had been accepted by the State.
She has not yet indicated a plea.
