I don’t think Americans realize the degree to which they are the main subject of Russian television news. Every night there’s news from the United States and the scandals about the United States, and every night the United States is shown to be an enemy of Russia over and over and over again. And this is, of course, useful to the Russian president, because it’s, we have a big and important enemy – you need me here to fight back.

Some 15 years ago, by accident, I watched video of a public lynching, a man begging for his life. It was horrendous. The man’s face and his suffering haunt me until today. So now I know better and keep myself away from graphic violence on the internet

Then when journalists and NGOs present evidence its real they’ll claim they’re biased, and if there’s a chance there’s a UN investigation they’ll demand everyone waits for that then spend their time undermining the investigative body so they can claim the final report is biased.
