As the fallout continues from the gangland trial of the century and the dramatic acquittal of Gerry Hutch, the focus of attention will inevitably turn to the fate of his arch accuser, Jonathan Dowdall.
The former Sinn Féin politician is a convicted torturer, a criminal, a liar and now a discredited supergrass. So he has arguably emerged as the biggest loser in the Regency trial.
