Man held as part of GSOC Hutch investigation released

A man who was arrested in connection with the investigation into the attendance of a Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) investigator at a party to celebrate Gerard Hutch’s acquittal of murder has been released without charged.
The man, who is in his 60s, was arrested yesterday by detectives from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Dublin on suspicion of disclosing information.
A file will now be prepared for the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
