Gardaí at the scene of sudden death at house in centre of Sligo

Gardaí in Sligo have sealed off a house in the centre of Sligo tonight (Monday) as investigations begin into the sudden death of a woman.

Gardaí have cordoned off an area at St John’s Terrace. It is believed the body of a woman, who lived alone, has been discovered with head injuries. It is understood the State Pathologist has been notified. No further details are available at this time.
