This is the moment a woman is shockingly pushed into the River Liffey in the midst of a gang brawl in Dublin’s city centre.

The young woman mounts the railing of the boardwalk along the river while two rival groups appear to throw punches and weapons at each other.

But the sickening footage obtained by Dublin Live shows the girl being shoved off her perch, plunging into the drink below.

Young lads and girls can be seen grabbing at opponents and launching missiles with the unmistakable sound of glass shattering in the background.

As the scary scenes unfold, another person attempts to help the woman in the river by tentatively climbing over the railing to try and lend a hand.

It is not known how the woman made it out of the river.
