For anyone who had a problem with the ethics of me interviewing Ian Bailey in last week’s Sunday Independent, please note:

a) No one ever complains about Shane MacGowan being interviewed while drunk. Or plenty of others I could name.

b) For years now, Ian Bailey has rarely been sober in interviews. Lots of folks saw him drunk in the Jim Sheridan documentary, but I don’t think there was too much talk about that.
