A man has been arrested after almost €150,000 worth of drugs and a supply of firearm ammunition was seized in Dublin today.
As part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime operating in Dublin 9, law enforcement officials conducted a search of a property under warrant in the Ballymun area earlier today.
The joint intelligence-led operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the Ballymun Divisional Drugs Unit at Ballymun Garda Station, and Revenue Customs Service.
During the search, €144,150 of suspected heroin, cannabis, and benzodiazepine was discovered and seized.

Officials reported a seizure of approximately €80,000 of suspected heroin, approximately €64,000 of suspected cannabis herb, and approximately €150 of suspected benzodiazepine at the premises, subject to analysis.
Forty 9mm rounds of semi-automatic rifle ammunition were also seized.
Gardaí arrested a 24-year-old male at the scene.
He is currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Ballymun Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
