Killer Dave Mahon charged with assault of pensioner as he breaks his silence following release from prison
Exclusive: Killer Dave Mahon claims his name is ‘mud’ and reputation ‘tarnished’ as he speaks for first time since his release from prison

Killer Dave Mahon has been charged with the assault of a pensioner as he breaks his silence saying – “I’m sorry I allowed myself to get into this situation.”
Speaking for the first time since his release from Wheatfield Prison last month, Mahon says he fears his reputation is ruined – as he now faces this new charge for the alleged assault of his 70-year-old neighbour.
“I’m the one in prison that taught the kids – when I say kids I mean 25-year-olds, 30-year-olds – not to get in trouble when you get out of prison and here I am.

“Look, I’m tarnished. My name is mud. Regardless of whether I’m in the right or wrong, my name is mud,” Mahon said in an extraordinary interview.
“So I feel like I’m after losing the battle straight away,” he added.
We can reveal that Mahon appeared before Ballyshannon District Court charged with the assault of the elderly man yesterday.
He was later released on bail and is due to appear in court again later this month.
