COVID-19: Vaccines waned; too many “vaccine hesitants” or sadly conspiracy theorists are becoming infected and taking up beds that are needed for people who are sick with other illnesses. We have approximately 290 intensive care beds which need 6 nurses dedicated to them and yesterday 118 of them were occupied by people with COVID-19; some say as many as 51% of those have not had the vaccine. We need the boosters. AZ 60-69 group need same urgently as that vaccine is supposed to only last 3-4 months. Behaviour must change because we are exposed at present … these were the mitigation factors at the time of the 1918 Spanish Flu … nothing has really changed.
