A man has died after a horrific shooting incident in Ballyfermot, Dublin.
A man in his late 40s has died following a serious shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident took place at a house in Ballyfermot in Dublin as Gardai rushed to the scene just after 5am.
According to RTE, the man was shot a number of times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí are now investigating and the area has been sealed off.
The incident marks the second violent event that has brought national news to the area in just over a week.
No arrests have been made at this time.
