Geopolitics: Russia and Ukraine. There are differences but there are many similarities too. Agriculture is rich in the Ukraine and once known as the “Breadbasket of Europe”; its transit routes for oil/gas; its proximity and history with Russia but the temptation of EU and what it has to offer on their borders also.
