
Man (37) faces trial charged with importation of gun parts after assembly ‘kit’ found in hostel

A MAN has been charged with importing gun parts into the country after a firearms “kit” and assembly instructions were allegedly found in a Dublin hostel.
Mark Wolf (37) was already facing trial for possession of weapons components when fresh importation charges were brought against him.
The case was adjourned at Dublin District Court for the preparation of a book of evidence.
Mr Wolf is facing multiple charges under the Firearms Act at his then address at Backpackers’ Citi Hostel, Lower Gardiner Street in June and July last year.
On June 15, it is alleged, he imported without a licence 10 incomplete, fully automatic conversion units for Glock semi-automatic pistols.
He is accused of importing four packages, each containing aluminium tubes with a mono-core baffle, ceiling cap and nut the following day, June 16.
On June 18, Mr Wolf allegedly imported a trigger and trigger bar for a Glock semi-automatic pistol, then on June 28, five zip-seal bags, each containing a complete set of pins suitable for use in 3D-printed Glock pattern frames.

He is charged with importing 10 ammunition springs suitable for use in 17-round capacity 9mm Glock pistol magazines on July 6.
The court heard he made no reply to any of the charges after caution and the DPP directed trial on indictment.
A state solicitor said it was a large investigation and sought more time for the preparation of the book of evidence.
Further charges were possible, the court heard.
The case was adjourned to a date later this month.
Previously, the court heard the accused was also known as Mark Nolan, and Mark Peppard. The existing charges related to items allegedly found at the hostel last June 16 They allege possession of firearm parts; a buffer, spring and tube and a castle nut and end plate for the buffer tube of an AR15-pattern rifle.
He is accused of having electronic documents on an Apple Pro Max 11 device giving “detailed instruction relating to the construction of an AR15 rifle and Glock handgun”.
Mr Wolf is charged with having three zip-sealed bags, each containing a parts kit for the lower receiver of an AR15 pattern semi-automatic rifle.
The accused has not yet entered any pleas.
