Dramatic scenes outside court as senior barrister is charged with murder of man
There were chaotic scenes outside a court in Tallaght today as a senior barrister was charged with the murder of a man in Co Dublin earlier this week.
Diarmuid Phelan, 53, with an address at Kiltalown Lane, appeared before Tallaght District Court on Friday in relation to the fatal shooting.

Mr Conlon, who was shot on farmland at Hazel Grove near Tallaght on Tuesday, died on Thursday at Tallaght University Hospital.

A number of people had gathered outside the courthouse before the sitting and shouted at Mr Phelan as he was brought into court.
As he was driven away after the hearing, a crowd surrounded his car and shouted at Mr Phelan. In the exclusive clip obtained by Extra.ie, people can be seen crowding around the car and filming Mr Phelan with their mobile phones.

Detective Garda Michael McGrath, from Tallaght Garda Station, provided the court with details of arrest, charge and caution.
The judge said there was no application for legal aid.
