DISGRACED surgeon Michael Shine has been freed from prison, it has emerged.
The notorious sex offender, 89, was released from Midlands Prison after serving just three years for the sexual assault of young boys.

The paedophile former medic walked free early on Wednesday morning and left the facility in a waiting vehicle.
A spokesman for the Irish Prison Service said: “The Irish Prison Service does not comment on individual prisoner cases.”
In 2019 Shine was found guilty of groping seven boys in his care over a period of three decades.
The incidents were alleged to have been committed in Co Louth during medical examinations at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda and at private clinics between 1971 to 1992.
During the trial, one of the complainants said Shine groped his genitals during two appointments in 1988 after surgery on his finger when he was aged 15.
Shine, who was struck off in 2008, still has 100 cases against him which have yet to be settled despite an agreement almost being reached.
It was reported earlier this month that the cases would be delayed further due to a row over costs.
Dignity4Patients CEO Adrienne Reily said: “This row is between the Medical Missionaries of Mary and the HSE over costs and the victims and survivors are collateral damage.”
