Woman (30s) arrested as Gardaí seize over €100,000 in cash during raid in Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin have seized over €100,000 in cash and arrested a woman (30s) after a raid in Dublin city centre.

On Thursday evening, Gardaí attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out a search of a residence in the Dublin 1 area.

The search, which Gardaí have confirmed was part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs, took place shortly before 8pm.

A total of €105,660 in cash was seized at the property along with €5,000 of suspected cannabis herb, which is subject to analysis.

A woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested at the scene and taken Store Street Garda Station where she is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
