Woman in critical condition after Dublin shooting

A woman is believed to be in a critical condition after a shooting in Dublin shortly before 9pm tonight.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to Collins Place in Finglas and the woman was treated at the scene.

It is believed the woman was shot in the chest.

Gardaí at Finglas have commenced a criminal investigation and are seeking witnesses in the area.

The area has been declared a crime scene and the Garda Technical Bureau has also been alerted.
