The 180-acre Tallaght farm [owned by barrister and academic and now, murder charged, Diarmuid Phelan] is registered to a N Ireland-based company, Sagacious Investments Limited, which claims to have no net assets, and gross assets of <€1m. But wait…

Sagacious, the N Ireland-registered company is 100% owned by a company registered in Gibraltar, Castle Trust & Management Services Limited, which operates trusts. Incredible layering for a farm outside Tallaght.

Given the expansion needed in Dublin to help provide the 400,000 [no decimal point missing, that’s the scale of undersupply] homes needed today in Ireland, that 180 acres could be worth 10s of millions in the not-too-distant future.

He might be a barrister but he used two guns to kill a dog and an unarmed man. The points put forward by Michael O’Higgins were odd, almost implying it was a minor mistake that can be easily explained. Garda objected to bail – the second basis is odd.

Yes, I don’t think the judge was too impressed with defence barrister Michael O’Higgins claiming his client “had a greater understanding of having to meet a court order rather than 99.9 per cent of the population” I don’t think it’s the understanding of bail that’s at issue!

Did I hear on the news he shot the man in the back of the head… yip. Sounds like self defence to me.

His excuse seems to he changed the gun from left to right in an arc & deceased got shot, yes defense counsel O’Higgins was overbearing, as if his client was a prisoner of war being held illegally
