OPEC formed 1970’s to control supply of oil so that they could ensure a higher value for themselves. Ukraine Invasion by Russia and President Biden has had to call for all who can produce oil/gas in the US to do so to counter a policy to stop importing Russian oil/gas, on which Germany in particular is so dependent on. Control mechanisms … tell us a lot. It is not the Arabs this time but it is the Russians who need to be sanctioned.
