Sent forward for trial to the circuit court
The man appeared before Judge Brendan O’Reilly at Sligo District Court.

A 73 year old man from Co Sligo has been sent forward to the circuit court on 2 charges of indecently assaulting a female at two locations in the county at dates unknown between 1974 and 1978.
Garda Conor McNulty said he had served the Book of Evidence on the defendant who was in court.
Sergeant Derek Butler was to return the accused to the next sittings of Sligo Circuit Court on April 5th with consent of the Director of Public Prosecutions. There was no objection to bail. Solicitor for the defendant, Mr Gerard McGovern was granted the appointment of one Junior and Senior Counsel.
Sgt Butler told the judge there were reporting restrictions.
