We must never forget the power of the Military Industrial Complex and how wars make elites wealthy. Let us not forget Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Ukraine. Detente is not popular where weaponry, satelites, computer software, are in demand, especially if there are more up-to-date replacements or inventions.
