A GUEST shouted insults at gardaí after she became drunk and was asked to leave the house she was visiting, a court has heard.
Diana Grinkaite (50) was fined €150 by Judge David McHugh when she appeared before Blanchardstown District Court.
The defendant, of Aras Na Cluaine in Clondalkin, admitted threatening and abusive behaviour at Coolmine Cottages in Mulhuddart on February 3 this year.
Garda Paula McNally said gardaí were called following reports of a drunken female.
Gda McNally said Grinkaite had been asked to leave a former neighbour’s house. She left the house, and was given numerous chances to take a taxi home but failed to do so.
Grinkaite also became highly abusive to gardaí, calling them “b*****ds” and telling them to “f**k off”.
Defence solicitor Valerie Buckley said Grinkaite had far too much to drink on the evening. She was originally from Lithuania, but had lived in Ireland for some years.
Ms Buckley said Grinkaite had been invited over to the house, but there was an argument and she was asked to leave. She said the defendant also wished to apologise to gardaí for her behaviour.
