Victim of fugitive fraudster who targets men on Grindr believes beast is hiding in Ireland after fleeing UK cops

THE victim of a fugitive beast who targets men on online dating sites believes the sicko has fled the UK and is hiding out in Ireland.

Jonathan Matthews, 37, was molested and robbed at his home in Dunfermline, Scotland, last month, after meeting up with serial fraudster Matthew Attenborough, 41.

Prior to the attack, Jonathan, a customers services rep with Tui, had been chatting on Grindr with Attenborough – who was going by the name Scott Baird-Gaudsen, and claimed to be working in Aberdeen on a second series of the BBC crime drama Vigil.

The brute has been using the same tactics for over a decade, including pretending to be a cop or a TV producer on hook-up apps.
Jonathan now fears that the beast, who is wanted over a string of sex offences and thefts, has fled to Ireland.

Speaking to the Irish Sun, he said: “I do fear that he is in Ireland hiding out and I don’t think it will be long before he strikes again.

“I saw his Twitter account before he deleted it, and it showed an interactive map of him travelling down through Scotland to the ferry point, down through Ireland to Dublin.

“This could be a smoke and mirrors ploy to throw people, but he seems to be known to do this.

“I spoke to two people that has done it too in England, and they both said that Ireland is where he goes to hide over. That he lays low until the dust settle down. And then he comes back over and starts all over again.”

Attenborough is known to have up to 53 aliases – such as Saul White and Rauiri O’Chonghaile – with sicko even using Jonathan’s name as one of his fake personas.

Jonathan said he thinks the monster might be originally from Ireland as he has an Irish accent and claimed to have been adopted and brought to the UK.

Brave Scottish native Jonathan and other victims have started a campaign to widely share pictures of Attenborough’s across social media in a bid to ensure he doesn’t snare any one else.

And Jonathan has concerns that Attenborough might start creating accounts in Ireland to lure in unsuspecting victims.

He said: “At the moment the pressure is heating up with everyone over sharing information and getting his face out there.”

Jonathan added: “It’s absolutely terrifying to know that he is still out there and that others could be at risk. My main concern is that somebody’s gonna end up dead.”
