THE teenager stabbed at a Leaving Cert results party who was fighting for his life is in a “stable” condition.
The attack, which had left the teenager in a “critical” condition, took place outside Vela Restaurant in Liffey Valley, Clondalkin, Co Dublin, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The event, which was headlined by Karl Mac, saw six DJs take to the stage across two arenas at the venue and was attended by more than 150 young people.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene where the teenager was found to be suffering from a “number of injuries”.
No arrests have been made so far.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardai were alerted to a serious assault that occurred in Clondalkin, Dublin 22 in the early hours of Saturday morning 3rd September, 2022.
“One male teenager received a number of injuries and was removed from the scene to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown by ambulance where his condition is understood to be stable.
“Anyone with information can contact Ronanstown Garda station on 01 666 7700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 11 or any Garda Station.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
Vela Restaurant Supervisor Mohammad Khan said the assault took place outside the venue and was not carried out by anyone in the “party group”.
According to Mr Khan, there were seven or eight security guards on the premises and there was no trouble inside the venue.
Local Councillor Francis Timmons said: “I was shocked to hear of an awful attack on a teenager on a night out last night, my thoughts are with this person and their family at this difficult time, anyone with information should contact the guards.”
Sinn Fein Councillor Joseph William Carey said: “I think for anyone who has a son or daughter going out these days it’s a big worry for anyone with the amount of knife crime that’s going on.
“When you find out something like that has happened, during the night, it’s unbelievable.
“It’s a big worry, it’s a big concern, it’s a concern for parents, it’s a concern for the young people who are out there with the knife crime, people need to cop on.
“If it happened outside a nightclub, is it a knife, who’s bringing knives to a nightclub? That’s a big worry.”
