US would respond to Russian use of a nuke because China, NK, Iran are watching. If we don’t respond then they are emboldened. Response would not necessarily be nuclear. Lots of options in/around Ukraine Kremlin couldn’t stop. They know this. That’s why I think it’s unlikely.

Russian media reports Russian soldiers saved 13 kids from a children’s home in Kupiansk during Ukraine’s counteroffensive to retake the town, and evacuated them to “LNR”-controlled Svatove. Or, to put it another way, they kidnapped 13 kids.
