Again and again, the waves of grief came crashing down on this small community, savage and relentless. A short distance away, the crystal clear blue surf thundered down on the sandy beaches of Sheephaven Bay. It seemed to mirror, in sympathy, the turmoil of a broken-hearted people.

There was barely time to take a breath between the devastating gathering in the morning for the funeral of Jessica Gallagher when it was time, once again, to reassemble for the funeral of Martin McGill.
