Paedophile hunters confront married man, 60s, in Cork over allegedly grooming young kids online after sting operation

A TEAM of child online protectors confronted an alleged pedophile in Cork last weekend after carrying out a sting operation.

The vile married man in his 60s believed he was communicating with an 11-year and a 12-year-old online.

He sent them graphic images of himself and requesting pictures back from them.

However, he was actually contacting a group calling themselves Child Online Protection Enforcers N.I. whose members were posing as children.

Gardai in Cork were handed a dossier containing the conversations and photos, and said their enquiries are ongoing.

Last Saturday members of the group travelled from Northern Ireland to confront the man on the city’s Northside about his alleged grooming of the kids online.

The sting operation was streamed live online for 45-minutes until Gardai, who had been contacted by the group, arrived on the scene.

In the video, a man identifies himself as a member of the group, and alleges that the elderly man has at least three Facebook profiles.

He tells the pervert he has copies of his online chat history with what he believed were two children, aged 11 and 12, who him told he was only 13-years-old.

In a grilling he is asked what kind of sexual gratification he gets out of talking in such a way to young children.
