Gardaí have seized just over €50,000 in different types of drugs following searches that took place in Dublin on Thursday.
Gardaí attached to the DMR East Divisional Drugs unit with assistance from a number of additional units seized thousands of euros worth of drugs, as well as a large amount of drug paraphernalia, mobile phones and a sum of cash following searches.
Following the search of a premises, €50,400 worth of cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy tablets were located by Gardaí. The drugs seized will now undergo further analysis.
According to a spokesperson for Gardaí, one man who is aged in his 30s was arrested and is currently being detained at a Garda Station in Dublin, held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act) 1996.
The spokesperson added that investigations are ongoing.

This is the second big drug seizure in the capital this week. On Monday, Gardaí in Dublin seized €20,580 worth of crack cocaine and diamorphine in Dublin.
The sting was conducted as part of Operation Citizen, targeting the sale and supply of illicit drugs in Dublin City Centre.
During the course of this search diamorphine with an estimated street sale value of €13,440 and crack cocaine with an estimated street sale value of €7,140 was seized as well as €770 in cash.
