Man seriously injured after horror attack on Grafton Street

The victim was rushed to hospital after he was critically injured during an attack in the city centre this morning

A man is in hospital following a horrific assault in Dublin city centre.

The incident happened on Grafton Street this morning. The victim, aged in his 30s, sustained serious injuries during the attack.

Gardai arrested a man in his 30s and he is currently detained at a garda station in the city centre. The victim was taken to St James Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

A garda spokesman said investigations are ongoing.
